Corneal perforation due to cuterebra | VETgirl Veterinary CE Videos

*Note: This video has no sound, so no need to adjust your computer!*

In this VETgirl video, we demonstrate a rare type of injury to the eye – corneal perforation secondary to cuterebra migration. While fly larvae typically migrate to the surface of the skin, they can rarely migrate to life-threatening or dangerous locations. Clinically, VetGirl has seen them migrate through the brain and liver also.
