Not sure what fluid to pick or how much to give? Join us for a 2-hour lecture with 2 criticalists talking about all things fluid therapy related!
We'll review fluid therapy and blood transfusion products commonly used in veterinary medicine. The first half of the lecture will focus on IV access, catheter types, body fluid compartments (e.g., intracellular fluid vs. extracellular fluid), types of fluid loss (e.g., hypotonic vs. isotonic), and the difference between crystalloids and colloids. This webinar will focus on synthetic and natural, isotonic, hypotonic, and hypertonic types of fluids, along with the use of colloids as an important component of fluid resuscitation.
The second hour of the webinar will review blood transfusion medicine, including packed red blood cells (pRBC), whole blood (WB), frozen plasma (FP), fresh frozen plasma (FFP), cryoprecipitate, human serum albumin (and the dangers associated with it), and canine serum albumin.
So, grab your favorite fluid and join us for this free webinar on all things fluid therapy related!
