This two-hour online VETgirl webinar will review the common causes of corneal disease in dogs. Dr. Shelby Reinstein, DACVO will review corneal ulcers, dry eye, and immune-mediated keratitis. Clinical signs, diagnostic testing, and treatment will be discussed. This lecture will review:

    • How to recognize canine corneal pathology
    • How to diagnose corneal disease with the aid of specific diagnostic tests such as Schirmer tear testing, tear film break up time, and fluorescein staining
    • How to treat the various corneal diseases with medications including antibiotic, anti-inflammatory, and immunomodulating therapy, and surgical options such as diamond burr debridement, and corneal grafts
