  2. I have a question in regards to lavage of the stomach. I’ve often seen surgeons after they have corrected the placement of the stomach, pass a stomach tube to 1) further decompress the stomach and then 2) to flush the stomach usually twice with warm water. Is this indicated? or is there any benefit of this procedure?
