In this VETgirl online veterinary continuing education video, we demonstrate how to use a MILA dual lumen gastric lavage (e.g., “bloat tube” or “GDV tube”) tube. This is used to help flush and evacuate stomach contents in the emergency GDV or poisoned patient. As it is double lumen with four large side holes, it allows for simultaneous flushing and evacuation of the stomach. Not sure how to gastric lavage? Check out this VETgirl blog on how to gastric lavage!
