In today’s VETgirl online veterinary CE podcast, we talk with Dr. Alison Diesel, DACVD on canine allergic skin disease. Allergic skin disease can be a primary reason dog owners visit the veterinarian. However, failure to adequately help an itchy dog can also be a leading reason for a client to leave their veterinarian and seek help elsewhere. What makes allergic skin disease diagnosis and management challenging for many practitioners? And what steps should we take to work it up? How do we rule it out from food allergy? And at what point in the diagnostic process should a diet trial be initiated? Tune in to get schooled on all things allergy!
