VETgirl and Royal Canin Partner to Present Powerful Minds, a Women’s Leadership & Wellness Retreat

This by-invitation-only event is designed to connect prominent women veterinary leaders at this 2-day experience at the Miraval Arizona resort. The VETgirl Powerful Minds Women’s Leadership Retreat will feature inspiring presenters and thought-provoking workshops designed to spark new ideas and teach attendees techniques that will foster leadership development and leave attendees with a refreshed outlook on how to better balance our busy lives in veterinary medicine. Attendees will “pass the torch” and nominate the next generation of women leaders.

VETgirl has invited 50 of the profession’s leading women to come together November 18-20, 2022, for a 2-day immersive experience at the exclusive Miraval Arizona resort in Tucson, Arizona. Complete with eight hours of continuing education workshops, this interactive event will guide attendees on how to create balance and nurture well-being with topics focused on work-life boundaries, psychological safety and trust, stress management and wellness, and grounded leadership. VETgirl Co-Founder and Medical Director, Dr. Justine Lee says, “We’re so excited to gather with some amazing women to talk about “the real stuff” and the lifehacks of veterinary leadership.” The retreat features keynote, Rebecca Heiss, Ph.D., an evolutionary biologist and stress expert, presenting sessions on “Making Stress Your Best Friend: Reframing Stress and Reclaiming time” and “Breaking Beyond the Imposter: Boundary Setting, People Pleasing and Rejection.” Also presenting will be Jeannine Moga, MA, MSW, LCSW, a licensed clinical social worker and compassion fatigue specialist, and VETgirl Chief Happiness Officer. Dr. Justine Lee, DACVECC, DABT will moderate and lead the event education sessions and daily panel discussions.
