  1. I agree with all the reasons listed in the podcast for digital radiology. I do think the ability to send specialists and other clinics radiographs so easily is one of the biggest positives.

  2. Digital radiology has been super helpful when needing to transfer a patient and the other doctors needs to view the rads that were taken.

  3. Digital is superior no questions asked, but great point that not matter what, positioning is essential above all else.

  4. Love our digital radiography! It’s fast, forgiving, and so easy to send off for consultation or referral if needed.

  5. Digital is more accurate with sharper images. Because the system is quicker one may take additional rads if needed. Consultation is easier too

  6. Digital imaging provides so many more pros than cons. I especially like the speed of obtaining the image and the decreased amount time of exposure.

  7. I agree that the fact of just a few clicks to send out the image for consultations is very beneficial.

  8. Love the ability to send DR images to a radiologist or referral partner at the click of a button.

  9. Increase in technology is a part of growth in the field, but I feel it is also important to know the traditional way.

  10. Digital radiology has been so helpful and how fast and easy it is to send off by a few clicks away.

  11. DR is definitely a blessing, it is also a life saver for people like me who have chemical sensitivities.

  12. DR is definitely a blessing, it is also a life saver for people like me who have chemical sensitivities.

  13. I have done both digital and traditional. Although traditional is fun for a hobby it definitely slows down a practice. I love that we have switched to digital radiology.

  14. Committed, no way to go back now. All the prior equipment is gone too. The detail dose require an adjustment, more confident in the technique too.

  15. I started practicing in the 1980s….ah, the distinctive clanking sounds of a tech developing film in the dark room, the occasional exclamation when they diagnosed the problem as they were previewing the film with a red light, (“definitely broken!”), the smell of the chemicals….referring xrays involved sliding them into giant envelopes, a trip to the post office, paying the postage, snail mail, waiting days or even weeks for the radiologist to call, the constantly expanding shelves jammed with exposed films, the yearly sorting–which ones can we get rid of this year?, arranging and paying for recycling. Definitely not the good old days. The only plus I can think of…I learned how to develop film. No convincing should be needed.

  16. As a middle school shadowing student at my local veterinary hospital in the 00’s, I remember the day digital rads came to that office. The “dark room” finally was just a storage closet and the imagining (and diagnostic power) became so much more streamlined and obvious! The tools at our fingertips with digi-rads now is incredible!

  17. The clinic I work in has yet to convert the dark room to some other use, such a waste of space!

  18. I agree, The digital radiography is very helpful,
compared with the previous method and it helps save time and provides better image quality.

  19. I have never personally used “traditional” radiography, but even just the advancements in digital radiography I have seen has increased the accuracy of diagnostics.
