In this lecture, you’ll understand the coagulation cascade and how it applies to our veterinary small animal patients. You’ll also learn what clinical signs are seen with factor deficiency versus thrombocytopenia/thrombocytopathia. Lastly, this lecture will review overall treatment for hemostatic disorders, including a review of Vitamin K1 therapy, plasma transfusions, and platelet transfusions.
