  2. Great class! Another thing I didn’t see mentioned was that leaving a scaler on the tooth directly can infact cause perfusion of the enamel and create cavities. Also, I felt using the “beaver tail” was the most efficient when doing dental cleanings. You can use the width to your advantage with all the angles, dependant on the size of the patient, smaller “beaver tips” are available for breeds such as chihuahua, yorkie, terriers and even cats. I love the stain and blacklight idea!!! In regards to polishing, so important! It acts as a sealer protecting the animal. Can someone please invent chicken and beef flavored polish! Our patients would wake up so happy! 😉
