e. You have the ability to accept or decline/disable cookies. Most Web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can usually modify your browser setting to decline or disable cookies if you prefer.  If you choose to decline cookies, you may not be able to fully experience the interactive features of the VETgirl continuing education services or other Sites you visit.

f. Use of Google Analytics®, Hubspot, GoToWebcast/GoToWebinar®, and/or similar services. We may interact with you through Hubspot, GoToWebcast/ GoToWebinar®, and/or similar services, in which case you may be subject to their respective privacy policies. We may also implement Google Analytics features based on Display Advertising (Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting). You can opt-out of Google Analytics for Display Advertising and customize Google Display Network ads using the Ads Settings. In addition, you can use the Google Analytics Opt-Out Browser Add-on to disable tracking by Google Analytics. We will use the data provided by Google Analytics Demographics and Interest Reporting to develop the site and content around our users’ interests and to help refine our advertising strategies. Google provides a complete privacy policy and instructions on opting out of Google Analytics here: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.

Note that the opt-out is specific to Google activities and does not affect the activities of other ad networks or analytics providers that we may use.

g. Do Not Track and Opt-Out Preference Signals. The “Do Not Track” (DNT) privacy preference is an option that may be made available in some web browsers allowing you to opt-out of tracking by websites and online services. We make best efforts to action browser settings requesting that we do not track your personal data, subject to technical limitations; we may not be able to respond to all user settings or signals. VETgirl recognizes opt-out preference signals, such as the Global Privacy Control, in a frictionless manner and as a request to opt-out of the sale or sharing of your personal data. The Global Privacy Control is available here. The Global Privacy Control applies to devices and individual browsers, so additional devices and browsers may need to have the Global Privacy Control activated.

  1. Children’s Privacy.

a. VETgirl does not knowingly contact or collect personal data from children under 18. The VETgirl website is only directed toward adult users and is not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under 18. Similarly, VETgirl complies with the provisions in GDPR regarding privacy of children and does not solicit information of any kind from children under 16 in jurisdictions subject to GDPR.

b. It is possible that by fraud or deception we may receive information pertaining to children under 16, or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction (under 16 in the case of jurisdictions subject to GDPR, for example). If we are notified of this, as soon as we verify the information, we will immediately obtain parental consent or otherwise delete the information from our servers. If you want to notify us of our receipt of information by children under 16, or equivalent minimum age depending on jurisdiction, please do so by sending an email to VETgirl’s Privacy Officer at: privacy@vetgirlontherun.

If there is a chat room, bulletin or message board, social networking opportunities or other interactive areas, be sure to check posted rules. You will be bound by posted rules, as well as our Site Terms and Conditions. Rules for participation may establish age and other restrictions, such as posting abusive, offensive or inflammatory content. Anything you post online is public information. We are not responsible for anything you voluntarily post online. Users should use caution when disclosing personal data online.

Social media websites are used to publicize VETgirl programs and services and engage with members of the public. VETgirl’s privacy and other web policies do not apply to these third-party sites, and we encourage you to read the policies of the third-party site when deciding whether to use it.

  1. International Data Transfers. If you choose to provide VETgirl with personal data, VETgirl may transfer that information to its affiliates and subsidiaries, service providers, or to other third parties, across borders, and from your country or jurisdiction to other countries or jurisdictions around the world. Accordingly, it may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security entities in such jurisdictions. If you have any questions or would like to receive further written information about our policies and practices with respect to the processing or storage of personal information by service providers or affiliates on our behalf, please contact us.

If you are visiting from the European Economic Area (“EEA”), the UK, Switzerland, or other regions with laws governing data collection and use that may differ from U.S. law, please note that you are transferring your personal data to the United States, which does not have the same data protection laws as your jurisdiction and may provide more limited recourse mechanisms, including dissimilar or, at times, weaker data protection rights.

With knowledge of these risks, you understand that:

    • Your personal data may be used for the uses identified above in accordance with this Privacy Policy and the applicable data protection law; and
    • Your personal data may be transferred to the United States as indicated above.

  1. Disclaimer Regarding Video Content. The primary purpose of the Sites is to make available to consumers educational video content, audiovisual content, and content of a like nature (collectively, the “Video Content”). In connection with our provision of Video Content, and with your consent where required by law, the Sites may utilize online tracking technologies and code-based tools, including, but not limited to, social media pixels, Software Development Kits (“SDKs”), and cookies (i.e., advertising or analytics cookies) that track information about your activity and webpage-viewing history on the Sites (collectively, “Tracking Tools”) for purposes that include recommending, both on the Sites and on third-party vendor sites, Video Content. Tracking Tools on the Sites may result in information about your activity on the Sites, including your use of Video Content, being transmitted from your browser to VETgirl and third parties, which, in turn, may result in the display of targeted advertisements on third-party websites and platforms, including advertisements for VETgirl content. In addition, whether Tracking Tools on the Sites result in your browser’s transmission of information to third parties depends on a number of factors that may be outside of our knowledge or control, including what third-party websites you use, what information you have provided to such third parties, and whether (and the extent to which) you have limited the use of cookies by the operators of those third-party websites.

In calculating these offers, we consider the expenses related to the offer and the value of your data.

You may withdraw from any of the programs at any time by following the instructions provided. Please note that if you opt out or request to delete your data, we may no longer be able to provide you with the benefits.
