  1. I remember a time working in emergency where I had to call in because I was sick. I was told later that, when my name went up on the whiteboard that I called out, staff on the floor started complaining that I probably just called in because I didn’t want to work a Sunday (my normal shift), so the person continued writing “in the hospital.” They shouldn’t have had to do that to justify my callout to my coworkers.
