In this VETgirl online veterinary CE webinar, Dr. Steven Suter, PhD, DACVIM (Oncology) will review the common canine neoplasia, mast cell tumor. In this lecture, he will focus on the diagnosis and treatment of canine mast cell tumors. Emphasis will be placed on why staging is so important, how to interpret diagnostic tests relating to Grade II tumors, and understanding the unpredictable nature of these malignancies.

What’s new in oncology? This was a 1.5-hour lecture by Dr. Steve Suter, oncologist at North Carolina State. This VetGirl webinar reviewed the diagnosis, management and treatment of lymphosarcoma in small animal veterinary medicine. Newer diagnostics (such as lymph node biopsy, immunohistochemistry, PARR for canine LSA, immunocytochemistry, flow cytometry) were reviewed as well as a review of updates in treatment (including bone marrow transplants, etc.).
